Welcome to The JobKnob! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, and any communication with The JobKnob team, whether you're a job seeker, employer, or institutional partner.


1. Who We Are

The JobKnob is a private recruiting firm licensed under the Illinois Private Employment Agency Act. We connect job seekers—particularly college students and early-career professionals—with potential employers. Our placement services are 100% free for job seekers.


2. Eligibility

By using our services, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • Any information you provide is accurate and truthful.
  • You are using our services for lawful job placement or recruiting purposes.


3. Job Seekers

We do not charge applicants any fees for job placement. By submitting your resume or application:

  • You grant us permission to share your information with verified employers.
  • You acknowledge that we do not guarantee job placement or employment.
  • You agree to be contacted by our team regarding job matches, follow-ups, or interviews.


4. Employers

Employers using our services agree to:

  • Provide accurate and legitimate job postings.
  • Abide by all state and federal employment laws, including non-discrimination.
  • Not solicit or induce candidates we place to leave their jobs for a competing position without consent.


5. Privacy

We respect your privacy. Personal information is handled per our [Privacy Policy]. We do not sell or misuse applicant data, and we operate in compliance with applicable labor and privacy laws.


6. Compliance

We operate in compliance with Illinois law, including the Private Employment Agency Act (225 ILCS 515), and maintain all necessary licensing through the Department of Labor.


7. Limitation of Liability

The JobKnob is not liable for:

  • Employment outcomes.
  • Actions taken by employers after placement.
  • Errors or omissions in job listings or applications submitted.


8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our services at any time if we believe there has been a violation of these Terms or applicable laws.


9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of our services after changes implies acceptance of the updated Terms.
